About Me

I'm Seung—a consultant turned builder who's spent 18+ years solving problems in tech. My mindset is Kaizen: always learning, always improving, hopefully not solving the same problem twice, and working toward more challenging problems.

Currently leading an RPA program at Capco for a US electric utility, focusing on automating critical processes within the heavily regulated energy sector—where reliability, compliance, and operational efficiency are paramount. The scale demands robust governance, risk management, and cross-functional coordination across operations, customer service, and regulatory reporting.

Simultaneously developing a Teacher Assistant SaaS as a side project (started June 2025), exploring AI foundations through hands-on application (started April 2025). Experimenting with ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, and modern development tools—not claiming expert status, but applying what I learn in real projects and getting hands-on fast.

Beyond the Code

Balancing the digital world with real-world experiences and personal well-being:

  • Cultural explorer: International travel to experience new cultures and eat incredible local food
  • Outdoor adventurer: Hiking, camping, and curious about exploring primitive survival skills and outdoor adventures
  • Mindful movement: Practicing and teaching yoga to stay grounded
  • Cat dad x2: Keeping two feline overlords happy and entertained
  • Fitness enthusiast: Staying active and trying my best to balance personal well-being with everything else

Ethical AI, Sans Doom

Building AI that helps people while respecting our planet and humanity—useful, accountable systems over hype or vibes 🙄

Thinking back at my Contemporary Issues in Computer Science coursework circa 2005, the topics we covered—automation, ethics, AI, and societal impact—feel more relevant than ever. Every AI company needs to establish their own constitutional framework. Transparency in AI values isn't optional; it's essential for building systems we can trust.

My goal is to build brilliant AI that actually helps people—without torching the planet or our humanity. I'm optimistic about AI's upside, and wary of a future where a few capture the gains while everyone else (and the environment) pays the bill. I favor useful, accountable systems over hype. If that's your lane, let's talk.

Guiding question: How do we use AI to create a better future for all—sustainably, fairly, and with real utility?
  • People-first utility: save time, expand access.
  • Planet-aware: efficiency over waste; footprint matters.
  • Accountable by design: clear guardrails, data respect, measurable impact.

Learning & Building Roadmap

I'm actively deepening my AI foundations while continuing to build. The goal: demonstrate practical skills across LLM integration, open-source model deployment, and production-ready AI features.

  • Foundations: Strengthening LLM concepts through applied learning (prompt engineering, RAG, vector databases).
  • Applied AI: Running open-source models and building evaluation dashboards to compare cost, latency, and accuracy.
  • Productionizing: Adding guardrails, monitoring, and CI/CD pipelines to SaaS projects for scalable, responsible AI integration.
Focus: Build useful, ethical, and production-ready AI systems — with visible, working projects along the way.
